Air Madagascar has ordered two ATR 72-500s and an ATR 42-500 here at the show. The national carrier, which already operates ATR 42-320s, will take delivery of the first two ATR 72s in October and the ATR 42 in mid-2006.
Wizz Air has negotiated a reduced aircraft delivery schedule through to 2030, as it aims to achieve a “smooth” growth rate amid considerations such as airframer delays and the continued grounding of around 20% of its fleet.
Boeing hopes by year-end to be producing seven 787s monthly, up from five monthly, though the company continues dealing with shortages of critical parts and with challenges related to certifying seats.
