United Airlines' president John Tague arrived at the MRO Americas show with one simple message - don't be enamoured by the recovery.
"Everyday, I wake up with the realisation that we are one day closer to a recession. The work we need to be doing now is preparing for the next event, the next downcycle," Tague stresses in his keynote.
Tague also believes airlines, MRO providers and OEMs need to find additional ways to create sustainable financial benefits in their partnerships.
"In our industry maintenance is arguably the largest cost driver outside of fuel. As we have focused on costs across many areas of our business, that same focus must be on maintenance."
