Abu Dhabi-based engine overhaul provider Turbine Services & Solutions has won a contract to service a range of powerplants for Dubai Aerospace Enterprise's leasing arm, DAE Capital.
The deal covers GE Aviation GEnx, International Aero Engines V2500 and Rolls-Royce Trent 700 powerplants, TS&S parent Mubadala says.
It notes that the contract is the first with DAE and "represents a breakthrough for TS&S, as it marks the first major deal covering multiple engine types with a market-leading leasing company".
TS&S acting chief executive Mansoor Janahi says: "We hope this contract is only the beginning, and that we grow our relationship with additional projects in the near future."
The overhaul shop has recently repaired a V2500 for DAE, and that company's chief executive, Firoz Tarapore, says the lessor was extremely "extremely satisfied" with the service.
TS&S is the engine overhaul division of former maintenance specialist Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies.
It was spun out as a standalone business in 2014, when Mubadala sold ADAT's airframe and component maintenance activities to Etihad Airways to become the carrier's in-house engineering operation.
