Helicopter leasing executive Alan Jenkins will take on the lead financial role at regional jet lessor Nordic Aviation Capital as the company continues to expand its team.
Jenkins is being appointed chief financial officer effective September, the company says in a statement. He will report to chief executive Søren Overgaard.
NAC appears not to currently have a chief financial officer according to its website.
Previously, Jenkins served as president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer of Waypoint Leasing. Prior to Waypoint, he held various roles including chief financial officer at NYSE-listed Genesis Lease from 2006 and 2010 prior to its merger with AerCap.
“Alan brings extensive financial, operational and strategic expertise to NAC,” says Overgaard. “His experience to date will enable us to continue to deliver on our strategic vision for the company and to accelerate NAC’s growth trajectory.”
After securing a significant equity investment from Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC, NAC has announced a series of marketing appointments since the start of the year. The company also closed one of the largest unsecured private placements in recent years, raising $786 million in March.
NAC has a fleet of almost 500 regional aircraft on lease to over 75 customers.
