Japan and New Zealand have agreed to allow more flights with larger aircraft between the two countries from May 2002 when Tokyo's Narita airport opens a second runway. Air New Zealand, the only carrier operating non-stop services between the two countries, will operate seven Boeing 767 flights a week compared with the present five.
