Embraer (Booth 5073) has selected Elbit Systems to supply its Kollsman Enhanced Vision System (EVS II) for the Lineage 1000. It will be offered as an option in combination with Rockwell Collins’ Head-Up Guidance System.
“This system improves the capability of aircraft to execute precision and non-precision approaches and safely land in reduced visibility conditions,” says Henrique Langenegger, vice president, programs executive Jets.
Certification of EVS II is expected by 2010. Four Lineage 1000 jets are currently at PATS Aircraft Completions and the first aircraft is due for delivery at the end of the year.
