Jeppesen (Booth 3499) has introduced a new consulting service to determine a business operator’s Required Navigation Performance (RNP) readiness.
RNP leverages GPS and the latest avionics to provide pre-determined accurate flight paths, approaches and departures designed for specific aircraft and the surrounding terrain. It provides improved airport access through lower weather minimums and precision approaches equivalent to ILS CAT-I at any airport worldwide.
“RNP means getting in and out of more airports faster, safer and cheaper,” says Chris Dean, Jeppesen’s manager of business and general aviation charting. “RNP procedures are designed specifically to work around obstacles and terrain, virtually eliminating the risk of CFIT.”
