GlobalAir.com (Booth 1848) is online with Max-Trax, a web-based route planning application designed to help pilots save on fuel costs. Available at maxtrax.globalair.com, Max-Trax provides data from fixed base operators (FBOs) who update their fuel prices at least once every 30 days.

Max-Trax, which is being demonstrated at the GlobalAir.com booth, combines fuel pricing with departure and destination information and aircraft range data, to map out complete itineraries. Max-Trax also offers access to information on airports and FBOs - including up-to-date fuel prices, as well as phone and email - within a 50-mile radius of a selected location. Data is integrated from the FAA, Google Maps, and GlobalAir.com’s own database on more than 1,400 FBOs.

“Max-Trax helps users find the best fuel prices in a given area - as well as facilities, fuel brands, runway lengths and other pertinent details - and plan a flight in under five minutes,” says Jeff Carrithers, Globalair’s president and CEO. “This is a major time savings in pre-flight planning for flight planners and dispatchers.”

“Max-Trax takes the guess work out of preflight planning,” he adds. “It will virtually pay for itself by helping corporate and charter pilots maximize their fuel dollars and keep track of their expenses.”
