Russia’s Jet Group is in final negotiations to sell the rapidly expanding JetExpo exhibition in Moscow to Reed Exhibitions.
The exhibition has been running for three years at the Crocus Expo exhbition centre and Vnukovo Airport. The show attracted 110 exhibitors, plus 25 aircraft on the static park. The exhibition has grown from an area of 4,000sq m to 8,200sq m.
Alexander Evdokimov, president Jet Group says: “I am proud of the event we have developed over the past few years, but it is now time to hand over the reins to an established professional organizer who we know has significant ambitions in the aerospace and aviation sectors and can add real value to JetExpo.”
Evdokimov continues: “Reed will use its international sales team globally to sell and promote the event. Until now sales have been managed out of Moscow and has not reached its full potential.” He pointed out that the business aviation market in Russia has grown by 30% over the past two to three years.
Evdokimov is also deeply involved in the United Business Aviation Association, which is due to merge with the Russian Business Aviation Association in a few months, to promote the cause of business aviation in Russia. He says: “We will be aiming to attract more engine manufacturers, MRO providers, fuel providers and pilot training companies. Reed’s experience in the interiors sector will also be valuable to the show.”
