International Communications Group has developed the eRouter, a new product that offers several connectivity functions for business aircraft operators.
The most basic ERT-100 and ERT-200 versions of the eRouter provide data routing functions. The ERT-140 added functionality for digital and analog VoIP for mobile connectivity as well as compression and acceleration of data throughput.
The eRouter can provide several types of connection types, including SwiftBroadband, Ku-band and Ka-band, Iridium and VSAT. Business aircraft operators can use the eRouter to connect to an office network with other wide area or local network clients. For transmitting data on the ground, the eRouter has 4G cellular service.
