Aerojet is to start ground demon-strations of a variable thrust rocket motor for the US Army's NetFires advanced tactical missile programme and plans to begin deliveries of the first units in 2002. The $3 million contract, awarded by prime contractor Raytheon, calls for the design, fabrication, test and delivery of nine variable thrust motors for the programme.
