Fractional-ownership leader NetJets has reached a tentative agreement with Raytheon Aircraft to purchase up to 50 Hawker Horizon super mid-size business jets, with a 10-year maintenance programme. The deal is expected to be finalised by mid-April. Raytheon Travel Air, now part of its Flight Options fractional subsidiary, ordered 27 Horizons in 1999, but the order lapsed with delays to the aircraft, which was finally certificated provisionally in December. Flight Options is still considering the Horizon. NetJets has previously ordered 50 Hawker 400XP light jets, plus 75 mid-size Hawker 800XPs and 1000s.
