Fractional ownership and charter company NetJets will take its first steps into China with a consortium of Chinese investors led by private equity firm Hony Capital and Fung Investments.
NetJets China will be headquartered in Zhuhai on the southern coast of Guangdong province, from where it will provide business aircraft charter and management services to its existing customers and the thriving business aviation community within the Greater China region.
"The Chinese aviation market has phenomenal growth potential and we believe that introducing the NetJets service in China will enhance our brand's global offering for customers around the globe," says NetJets chairman Jordan Hansell. "Our aim is to introduce NetJets' brand of unmatched standards for managing private aircraft and provide aircraft owners in China with the ultimate in safety, security and reliability."
NetJets China vice-chairman Eric Wong adds: "We are witnessing demand from both domestic and established customers in the US and Europe. NetJets China will provide aircraft owners with superior global coverage and services."
NetJets China plans to offer a variety of aircraft types.
