Allegiant Air will add two new destinations to its network: Charleston (South Carolina) and Sarasota (Florida).
The Las Vegas-based airline will serve Charleston seasonally from Pittsburgh on 4 April, Cincinnati from 5 April and Indianapolis from 6 April.
It will operate year-round to Sarasota from both Indianapolis and Pittsburgh on 11 April, and from Cincinnati on 13 April. All routes will be operated twice weekly.
"The requests for these two destinations have been overwhelming and we know passengers will enjoy having a convenient, nonstop, affordable option to these warm destinations," says Allegiant senior vice-president of commercial Lukas Johnson.
Allegiant will face no direct competition on any of the new routes, FlightGlobal schedules data show.
However, other airlines offer indirect competition from Tampa airport, which is just about 84km (52 miles) from Sarasota airport. Delta Air Lines and Frontier Airlines operate to Tampa from Cincinnati; Frontier and Southwest Airlines from Indianapolis; and Southwest and Spirit Airlines from Pittsburgh.
