All Nippon Airways (ANA) has announced its summer 2020 schedule, which places great emphasis on developing its network at Tokyo Haneda International airport.
The carrier plans to offer 12 non-stop services from Haneda, with the addition of flights to Qingdao, Shenzhen, Moscow, Istanbul, Milan, Stockholm, and San Francisco. It did not, however, specify the schedule and launch dates of these services.
Also out of Haneda, ANA is increasing the frequency of flights to Sydney and will relocate the following services from Narita to Haneda: Delhi, Houston, Los Angeles San Jose, Seattle, and Washington DC. This will take effect on 29 March 2020.
For the Los Angeles service specifically, the carrier now operates three daily flights between Tokyo and Los Angeles: two from Narita and one from Haneda. It plans to maintain this frequency, but with just one daily flight out of Narita and twice daily from Haneda.
“These new slots for Haneda increase the number of international flights ANA will offer during local daytime hours,” ANA says.
It adds that Haneda is key to building a comprehensive network of domestic connections, while Narita’s international network will expand from 2020 onwards, adding new connections between North America and Asia.
The carrier is also reshuffling its flights to Vietnam, which takes effect on 29 March. It will relocate its daily Tokyo Haneda -Hanoi service to Narita, and one of its two daily Tokyo Narita-Ho Chi Minh service to Haneda.
