Israeli carrier El Al is to re-open a connection to London Stansted, more than a decade after it last operated to the airport.
El Al is to conduct flights to Tel Aviv using Boeing 737-800s.
It will operate five-times weekly on the route from 28 June with flights initially continuing for the summer peak until 3 September, says Stansted’s managing company.
The Israeli airline operates primarily to London Heathrow using Boeing 787s.
But El Al also serves London Luton and its reservations system indicates that the Stansted flights will complement this link.
Cirium networks data shows that EasyJet operates Stansted services to Tel Aviv, while both EasyJet and Wizz Air serve the Israeli hub from Luton.
