Korean Air is adding frequencies to its Kagoshima and Niigata services, while SkyTeam partner Delta Air Lines will codeshare to four of its routes.
KAL says that it will raise its its Seoul Incheon-Kagoshima frequency from thrice-weekly to five-times weekly on 2 January, while a fifth-weekly Incheon-Niigata service will commence on 2 February.
Separately, from 10 January 2018, Delta will add its code to KAL's services from Incheon to Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Guam, and also on the Busan-Guam route.
Delta and Korean Air were recently approved by US authorities to commence a network joint venture, but are still awaiting clearance from South Korean authorities.
