Scoot will launch services to India in the coming months, using Boeing 787s.
The long-haul, low-cost carrier says it will begin a daily Singapore-Chennai service on 24 May, by taking over the existing services operated by sister airline Tigerair.
On the same date, a thrice-weekly Singapore-Amritsar service will commence. This will be followed by the addition of a fourth-weekly flight on 1 July.
Later on 2 October, Scoot will add a four-times weekly Singapore-Jaipur service, it adds.
FlightMaps Analytics shows that Scoot will be the only operator on the Singapore-Amritsar and Singapore-Jaipur routes. It will compete with Air India, IndiGo, Jet Airways, SilkAir, and Singapore Airlines on the Singapore-Chennai route.
