Singapore Airlines (SIA) has raised the frequency of its Singapore-Brisbane route from 24 to 28-times weekly, and plans to deploy the Airbus A350-900 on three of four daily flights starting 16 October.
In a statement, Brisbane airport says that by January 2018, SIA's overall capacity on the route will increase by up to 53,040 seats annually on a two-way basis.
FlightGlobal schedules data shows that SIA deploys a combination of A330-300s and Boeing 777-200ERs between Singapore and Brisbane. Emirates and Qantas are the two other competitors on this route.
