A five-way merger will be announced this week at Paris to create SKF Aerospace, positioning the new company at the forefront of research and development.
Sarma, Ampep, MRC Bearings, SKF Avio and Chicago Rawhide have joined forces to offer a comprehensive range of components, equipment and services. The merger will provide the component companies with the opportunities to develop their market share on both sides of the Atlantic.
The company is split into three divisions. Sarma and Ampep form SKF Airframe, the European leader for rotary and fixed wing aircraft components. MRC Bearings and SKF Avio form SKF Aeroengine, the world leader in aeroengine bearings.
Chicago Rawhide become CR Aerospace, and will continue to provide aerospace sealing systems and precision elastomeric devices.
SKF's latest technology, including composite rods and torque shafts, electromechanical equipment, elastomeric products, ceramics and aeroengine components, is all on display in Hall 2B, Stand G9.
