Air China will be scrapping flights between Beijing and Honolulu after reviewing its network, leaving the two cities without a direct air link.
In a statement on its website, the Star Alliance carrier says it will stop the flights from 27 August, citing “network distribution and capacity arrangements”.
Cirium schedules data indicates that Air China flies Beijing-Honolulu thrice-weekly with Airbus A330s. It launched the service between the two cities in 2014.
In October 2018, Hawaiian Airlines suspended service to Beijing, which it also served thrice-weekly with Airbus A330-200s.
