Comac has secured new commitments for 130 C919 aircraft from Chinese lessors.
The Chinese airframer says this takes commitments for the type to 730, and brings the total number of customers to 27.
No details were given as to delivery dates or the value of the transactions.
Comac says four local lessors are behind the fresh commitments: the leasing arm of China Nuclear E&C Group (40 aircraft), Huabao Leasing (30), AVIC International Leasing (30); and ABC Financial Leasing, which has committed to 30 additional C919s, adding to its 45 pre-existing orders for the type.
The commitments, announced at the biennial Beijing Aviation Expo event, represent a mix of firm orders and letters of intent, says Comac.
Following the C919's maiden flight on 5 May, the first prototype – aircraft 101 – has yet to make a second sortie.
In early September, the aircraft conducted taxi tests at Shanghai Pudong International airport, and Comac told FlightGlobal that a second sortie was due this month.
