Daher unveiled a new configuration for its TBM 910 and TBM 930 single-engined turboprop aircraft to be used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The ISR configuration of the aircraft was announced at Eurosatory 2018, the international defense and security show held in Paris 11 to 15 June.
The aircraft sports underwing hard points with electrical connections for various sensors and large-format cameras. The ISR aircraft can perform surveillance missions with a multi-sensor optronic retractable turret, as well as synthetic aperture radar and ground moving target indicator radar, a communication interception system and secure transmission means, according to Daher.
The TBM 910 and TBM 930 are the newest members in Daher’s TBM family of single-engine turboprop aircraft. Differences between the two models are concentrated on their primary avionics: Garmin’s G1000 NXi avionics system with physical keypad for the TBM 910; and Garmin’s G3000 with a touchscreen controller for the TBM 930, according to Daher.
Both aircraft have a maximum cruise speed of 330kt (611kph), a 1,730nm (3,204km) range and fuel consumption of 141l (37gal) per hour. The aircraft can take off and land from 750m-long (2,455ft) runways.
The aircraft are built at the airport of Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées, France.
