Russian investigators are probing an accident involving an Azerbaijani executive jet which skidded off the runway while landing at Moscow Sheremetyevo.
Surveillance video shows the Gulfstream G200 skidding to the left after touchdown, apparently on runway 24C, and sliding sideways into the snow before coming to a halt.
The Interstate Aviation Committee says the aircraft (4K-AZ88) suffered “significant damage” during the excursion, which occurred shortly before 12:50 on 26 February.
It states that the G200, which appears to have departed from Baku, was operated by Silk Way Business Aviation, which is based at the Azerbaijani capital.
The operator says the aircraft is capable of transporting 10 passengers. Investigators have not disclosed the number of occupants at the time but says none of those on board was injured.
Cirium’s Fleets Analyzer shows the G200 is an 11-year old airframe, delivered new to the operator in 2008.
Silk Way Business Aviation lists other types in its fleet including the G650, G450 and G280 as well as the Airbus A319 and ATR 42-500.
