An advanced night operations suite (NOPS) designed to extend the operational capabilities of helicopters is being developed by Israel Aircraft Industries' Tanam division.
The package contains two key elements - night vision goggles and helmet-mounted display for each crew member. A tactical moving map and a helicopter multi-mission stabilised optronic payload are also used. The NOPS is installed on a Mil Mi-35 helicopter on display at Paris this week.
