The US Army awarded Orbital Sciences, Lockheed Martin and Coleman Research $1.1 billion, $880 million and $959 million, respectively, to provide theatre missile defence target services for the US Department of Defense's Ballistic Missile Defense Organization (BMDO). Over 22 bids were solicited. The work is to be completed by early 2003.
