The passenger-to-freighter conversion of the ATR aircraft accomplished by French firm Aéroconseil referred to in your report "Aéroconseil faces Aeronavali in conversion race" (Flight International, 4-10 November) is not in direct competition with the one developed and performed by Aeronavali. Aeronavali's conversion has the characteristics of an original equipment manufacturer programme, with a supplemental type certificate developed with Alenia Aeronautica and product support provided by ATR.
