The Italian transport ministry has stripped Alitalia of its role as slot coordinator for Italian airports. The move follows a complaint by Air One, which was forced to abandon plans to launch Milan-Naples in late October when it received none of the 391 new weekly slots at Linate. At press time, the Italian antitrust authority was due to announce its verdict on Air One's complaint of anti-competitive practices against Alitalia.
