Oneworld partners British Airways and Iberia have said they will give up slots on key Spanish routes to London in a bid to obtain approval from the European Commission (EC) for their marketing alliance on services between the UK and Spain. The carriers applied for antitrust immunity from the EC in mid-2002, as part of a tie-up that would also incorporate flights operated by BA franchise partner GB Airways.
