CDB Aviation will buy a portfolio of 11 Airbus A320s from BBAM-managed lessors FLY Leasing and Incline B Aviation.
CDB Financial Leasing disclosed the transaction in a Hong Kong stock exchange notice, which adds that the deal is expected to close by the end of June.
The aircraft involved in the deal were not identified in the transaction notice, however it is likely that they are leased to AirAsia Group carriers.
Incline B and FLY, together with BBAM, purchased a large portfolio of A320s from AirAsia’s aircraft leasing unit, Asia Aviation Capital, in 2018. Since then, FLY has started to sell some of those aircraft to reduce its exposure to the pan-Asian low-cost carrier group.
