Taiwan’s Eva Air has taken delivery of two Boeing 777-300ERs – the carrier’s 16th and 17th – as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The two aircraft feature Panasonic Avionics’ latest eX3 inflight entertainment system, which includes high definition video touch screens at every seat and wi-fi connectivity. Eva is also the first user of the eX3 IFE system on the type, says Boeing.
In a separate statement, the Star Alliance member says the two aircraft are configured with 333 seats across three classes: 39 business, 56 premium economy and 238 economy class seats. Another similarly configured 777-300ER will follow later this year. It will be used to progressively raise frequencies to its North American destinations from 3 June onwards.

"We will continue to modernize our world-class fleet with new and innovative technologies, ensuring that our passengers receive the most comfortable and memorable flying experience."
Flightglobal’s Ascend Online Fleets database shows that the two aircraft bears registrations B-16718 and B-16719 (MSNs 1189 and 1202). Eva Air also has four more 777-300ERs on order.
