The aircraft, powered by two 445kW (600hp) OE-600s, is being flight tested from Spokane, Washington. Its climb rate is twice that of the original Pratt &Whitney Canada PT6-powered aircraft, says Orenda. The engine company expects to certiÌcate the OE-600 this year and has begun taking orders for the engine. Stevens has ordered an initial 140 engines, worth $20 million.
