The Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey Joint Program Office and Naval Air Systems Command have suspended flight operations of the military tiltrotor pending replacement of specific hydraulic lines in the engine nacelles of the five test aircraft. Programme technicians discovered several production lots of 25mm (1in) hydraulic lines which control the aircraft's swashplate actuators do not meet performance specifications. Replacement of 20 lines per aircraft should be complete in less than two weeks.
