Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has awarded Pratt & Whitney (P&W) a 10-year fleet management programme contract for the carrier's PW4152 engines.

Included within the contract are daily servicing and technical support as well as regular maintenance of the engines and spare parts for PIA's four Airbus-leased A310-300 aircraft.

P&W will provide overhaul services at its Eagle Services Asia Engine Centre joint venture with SIA Engineering in Singapore.

Says Jim Keenan, P&W's senior vice-president of commercial engines and aftermarket services: "We are very pleased that PIA has chosen Pratt & Whitney to support its PW4000-powered Airbus fleet, reaffirming their choice of Pratt as an engine and maintenance service provider."
