Boeing expects to begin flight tests for the first test aircraft in the US Navy's 737-based P-8 Poseidon programme in the fourth quarter of 2009. It completed loads calibration tests two weeks ahead of plan before the first flight on 25 April, and will complete all systems and installations in the next four months. The tests will check the aircraft's flying qualities, performance, loads and in-flight refuelling, says Boeing.
