The air force of a "major Asian country" has signed an agreement for Orbit Technology Group to supply a system that manages all on-board audio systems with an internet protocol-based interface.

The order for Orbit's audio management solution over IP (AMSIP) "signifies our entry into a larger, more substantial strategic market, and we look forward with confidence to additional contracts", says Avi Cohen, chief executive of Israel-based Orbit.

The AMSIP system allows the flightcrew to select and control digitally from a range of audio communications functions, including radios, public address, intercom and warning systems.
