Premium Aerotec (hall 2, E197) on the first day of the show detailed a new $500 million agreement to supply the aft pressure bulkhead and floor grid for the A350 XWB.
The latest deal follows an award by Airbus to the company for the A350's forward fuselage section and aft fuselage.
Premium Aerotec is to use carbonfibre composites in all the A350 structures it plans to build using its patented vacuum assisted process. Through that method the company uses a temperature-controlled furnace rather than an autoclave to cure the resin.
Launched in 2009, Premium Aerotec is comprised of a former EADS facility in Augsburg and two former Airbus sites in Nordenham and Varel.
