Kuwaiti leasing firm Alafco has tentatively signed for 30 Airbus A320neo twinjets, adding to its deal for six more A350-900s at the Paris air show.

Airbus said the Middle Eastern lessor had previously ordered 26 A320s, 25 of which have already been delivered.

"The A320neo is proving to be a very popular aircraft due to its economics and low fuel burn," said Alafco executive vice-president Abulqasim Abdulghaffar Redha.

Alafco's agreement takes the form of a memorandum of understanding, said Airbus.
