Bombardier has confirmed that UK start-up carrier Odyssey Airlines is the customer behind a June 2011 firm order for 10 CS100 aircraft.
Odyssey chief executive Adam Scott says the aircraft's transcontinental range will allow the carrier to connect "key city airports". The airline plans to operate from London City.

"We have a unique strategy that will offer a premier service with a focus on new destinations that cannot currently be served from London City airport," says Scott, who names New York JFK as a possible destination to which Odyssey could operate the CS100.
Earlier this month, Flightglobal reported that Bombardier had appeared to name Odyssey as a CSeries customer. During a media briefing at the IATA AGM in Cape Town, the Canadian airframer's senior vice-president commercial Chet Fuller said Odyssey would be invited to a CSeries event at the Paris air show, before appearing to correct himself to say "an undisclosed customer who will become disclosed".
Odyssey's CSeries order is valued at $628 million.
