US component manufacturer Paradigm Precision has won a supply contract from Pratt & Whitney across the engine maker's range of commercial and military engines.
The long-term agreement has a value of around $220 million and covers engines by Pratt & Whitney – including its PW1000G geared turbofan – and Pratt & Whitney Canada, the group says. It comprises supply of complex parts, such as exhaust nozzle flaps and seals for military jets as well as manifolds and sheet-metal parts on commercial engines.
Around half of the deal represents an extension of existing supply contracts, but the other half comprises parts for new engine programmes, says Paradigm account executive Joseph Pannunzio.
The parts manufacturer has made “significant” investments to win the agreement, says chief executive Greg Bennett.
