Raytheon continues to exceed renegotiated delivery schedule requirements of the AIM-120 AMRAAM to the US Air Force, the company says.

"Maintaining consistent and timely AMRAAM deliveries to the US government and our international customers is a top priority for Raytheon, and Nammo has played a critical role in this effort," says Taylor Lawrence, president of Raytheon Missile Systems.

Norway-based Nammo Group was officially certified as the second rocket motor by the non-nuclear munitions safety board earlier this year. In 2010, Raytheon and Nammo began development and qualification of an alternative rocket motor for the missile.
