United Technologies' aerospace systems division has selected Singaporean maintenance provider ST Aerospace as an MRO partner for its equipment on the Boeing 787.

Both companies signed a long-term repair licence agreement for UTC's bleed-less air management system and electrical equipment on the twinjet.

ST Aerospace's recruitment as an official maintenance partner was based on the company's "global presence, particularly in Asia-Pacific", and will complete UTC's 787 support network, says Jim Patrick, vice-president customer service for UTC's aerospace systems' power, controls and sensing systems unit.
