All red - and green - Virgin Atlantic has extended its EcoPower engine wash agreement with Pratt & Whitney for its General Electric CF6-powered Boeing 747 fleet.
"We have seen a noticeable improvement in fuel burn and CO2 emissions," said Virgin engineering director Phil Maher.
The carrier contracted the engine manufacturer in 2007 to provide the on-wing maintenance service at its base at London's Gatwick airport.
