Parker Aerospace is moving away from being a prime supplier of individual hydraulic, fuel and pneumatic components and becoming a top supplier of complete systems. Explains communications services manager Cheryl Flohr: "The aircraft industry is looking increasingly towards suppliers like us because of our ability to provide entire systems, making us a one-stop-shop. "One of our most recent success stories has been a complete hydraulic, fuel and pneumatic system which we supplied for the Fairchild Dornier 728JET. That was very exciting for us, as it was great that our customers recognised the services we could offer and then went on to select us to do it.

"We're also very proud to have won a lot of product space on the A340-600. It was great to be part of its launch in April and we¹ll continue to offer our support for the aircraft."

Part of that ongoing support is another new area that Parker Aerospace has moved into with the introduction of its own customer service programme. Flohr says: "This programme is completely separate to our manufacturing division. That enables us to provide a dedicated spares, repairs and recalls service that is structured to the needs of individual customers - an innovative idea for us."
