Piaggio is eyeing new markets for its P180 Avanti II outside its traditional and flourishing markets of North America and Europe where the bulk of its 125-strong twin pusher fleet and the 85 orders on backlog originate. The Italian airframer says it is seeing considerable interest from owners and operators in the Middle East and Asia where it is planning to establish a customer support infrastructure before stepping up its marketing effort in these regions.
