British Airways has put its first Airbus A320neo into service with a flight to the Portuguese capital Lisbon.
The UK flag-carrier conducted the flight on 15 April having received the CFM International Leap-powered aircraft five days earlier, according to Flight Fleets Analyzer.
Parent company IAG opted to order up to 220 A320neos for its various airlines in 2013.
BA firmed its first A320neo agreement in mid-2014, signing for 13 A320neos and seven A321neos. It has since expanded this to 25 A320neo and 10 A321neos.
IAG selected Leap-1A engines for 55 aircraft – the BA and Iberia fleet – but chose the Pratt & Whitney PW1100G for 47 A320neos for Vueling.
