The aircraft (N719BC, pictured above) arrived late last week from the Boeing storage facility in Victorville, California, close to Los Angeles international airport. The two aircraft will be operated by Astraeus Aviation and based at Dubai.

Ariana has also placed orders with Boeing for four new 737-700s for delivery from 2009. Ariana will use the aircraft to modernise its ageing fleet, which currently comprises three Airbus A300B4s, four Boeing 727-200s and a single Antonov An-24.
