When you see some of those wonderful images of aircraft that would look perfect in your company brochure but don’t know how to get them, a British company is now offering NBAA visitors an online access to its million-image database.

The Flight Collection, the picture library for Flight International magazine, holds of one of the largest aviation photographic collections in the world. The brand-new website has just been launched, offering customers access to fast accurate searches together with improved lightbox and ordering facilities.

Subjects
Images on the website range from the Wright brothers’ first flight to the latest Dassault Falcon 7X. In between are many subjects covering the whole of the industry including airports, maintenance, passengers and personnel. The website is primarily aimed at professional picture buyers from the aviation, design, advertising, book and magazine markets, but private customers are welcome to browse the site and contact the library to purchase prints or cutaways.

Although the online collection is added to daily, uploading over 100 years of images from an archive of over a million will take a little while. But the library will undertake searches if a suitable image cannot be found, offer advice and fee negotiation for when that perfect image is found.
