Pilatus Aircraft could transfer technology under development for the PC-21 military trainer turboprop to the PC-12 to increase the performance of the single-turboprop utility aircraft. The PC-21 is to be powered by a variant of the PC-12's Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 engine. PC-12 production is set to rise from this year's record 70 aircraft, and the Swiss company expects to build "100 or more" examples in 2002. Over 225 PC-12s have been delivered.
