The System 55 autopilot produced by Texas-based S-TEC will be available on New Piper aircraft from 1999. Those fitted include the Saratoga II HP and II TC, which will have it as standard. The system will also be offered as an option on the Piper Archer III. The autopilot will be standard on the recently rolled out Meridian.
